Why This Reference Exists
Illinois law makes certain arrest information available through public bodies, but Lee County does not place every detail in one search. The Lee County Sheriff’s Department creates and maintains county booking records and operates the Lee County Jail. Its current-inmate PDF answers who is listed as housed in a generated snapshot, while its separate News Media report covers arrests from the last seven days. Neither observed PDF displayed a public booking-photo gallery. The Lee County Circuit Clerk’s Matrix and Full Court Enterprise systems provide later case information, and the Illinois Department of Corrections search serves people who have moved into state custody. A focused records request to the Sheriff may be needed for a booking sheet or releasable photo that is not online. This site organizes those official paths without republishing the records themselves.
What Readers Can Find
The site separates sources by the question each one can answer:
- The Lee County recent-arrests hub explains the jail roster, booking records, mugshot law, warrants, and official request path.
- The Daily Arrest Report explains the derived same-day window, while the Weekly Arrest Log covers the complete rolling seven-day report.
- The VINELink Inmate Check covers custody and court-event alerts for one person.
- Dixon, Amboy, and Ashton pages explain how municipal policing connects to county booking sources.
- Official county, court, state, federal, and immigration resources are identified by the custody stage they cover.
Limits of This Site
Lee County Recent Arrests is privately run. It has no affiliation with an Illinois government agency, sheriff’s office, jail, court, or corrections department. It does not control the Lee County Jail roster, the Sheriff’s arrest report, VINELink, court portals, or corrections locators.
- We cannot release, detain, or transfer a person.
- We cannot post bond, book a visit, or send funds.
- We cannot provide legal advice or predict a case outcome.
- We cannot guarantee that a phone number, fee, address, or public record remains unchanged.
Only the responsible sheriff, jail, court, or corrections agency can confirm current custody, charges, or release. An arrest is an accusation, and guilt must be decided in court.
